Based on the hit film, Ghost The Musical tells a timeless story about the power of love. After being killed, Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next trying to communicate with his girlfriend Molly through a phoney psychic in the hope of saving her from his murderer. In addition to including the classic song Unchained Melody, which is inextricably linked with the film’s famous potter’s wheel seen, Ghost The Musical features new music written by former Eurythmic Dave Stewart and six-time Grammy Award-winner Glen Ballard who has written for artists from Aretha Franklin to Van Halen and Aerosmith to Michael Jackson. Ghost The Musical is adapted for the stage by Bruce Joel Rubin, the writer behind the film which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. Rubin’s other screenplays include Jacob’s Ladder, Deep Impact and The Time Traveller’s Wife.
